Easter 2018

I love Easter.
It's simple for us.
We go to church and celebrate Christ resurrection, come home and have a later, relaxed dinner and take it easy the whole day.

Our church has opened the Easter service with the Hallelujah Chorus the past two years and you might think, "That's a Christmas song!" but it is so appropriate for this special holiday that we as believers celebrate in spring.
I also loved how several people took turns saying the traditional Easter phrase, "He is Risen, He is risen indeed" in several different languages, before the leader of the Spanish speaking class opened us in prayer, in Spanish. It really meant a lot to have the reminder that all tongues will praise the name of Jesus.

Our dinner was lamb, mashed potatoes, kale saladgarlic butter mushrooms and fruit salad. I used my Grandma's china and silverware, and it was ever so nice. No agenda, aside from hiding some eggs that afternoon, and we even watched a movie before supper.

Happy Easter from us!
