The Newest American Girl
Guess what came in the mail the other day? An American Girl catalog! I don't know how...we didn't sign up for it or anything. But now, my little girl, is turning into an American Girl.
She was immediately captivated; quietly studying the pictures and the dolls. Asking what their names are, and what they are doing in each picture.
I remember doing the exact same thing, (although not at age 2!), and it was so fun to share this moment with her.
When she is a little older, I will be happy to show her my very own Kirsten doll, and let her play with her. Until then, the catalogs are enough. :)

Awww, I had a Kirsten doll, too (and a Felicity... and an Addy...). I'm looking forward to letting my little girl play with them, too, when she's a bit bigger. Good girlhood memories!
ReplyDeleteMy girls only ever had the catalog, never any of the dolls. sniff, sniff. I did get them some of the books later and twice I found some of the official dress up clothes at thrift stores (which I might've given to Daniel's sisters???).
ReplyDeleteSo cute how studious Natasha is about such things.
