A Midsummer Party
My younger sister-in-laws and I planned a party a little while ago, and called it an "End-of-Detasseling/ Summer Party". Since our guests had just finished 3 weeks worth of walking in cornfields pulling corn tassels, we thought they needed a celebration.
So, Sarah, Phoebe and I got to work.
For the favors, I made these little paper pouches.
For the tags, I used this gift tag printable, from Jones Design Company.
The favors themselves, were little flowered hair clips, made by Sarah.
We had miniature cheescakes, with chocolate chip cookie dough as the crust, to eat.

Also some almond cookies, and strawberries dipped in dark chocolate.
Lemonade was served in specially marked goblets, with fun straws.
Phoebe made some seashell decorations, and we all transformed the living room with white tea candles, Christmas lights strung from the ceiling and white sheets, and fresh gladiolas.
We played a few games and learned which of us wants to go to the American Girl Store in Chicago, which one wants to go to Europe, get married, own a vintage car, see a unicorn and so on and so forth. :)
The last game was, "drop the clothespins in the milk jar":
It take a little concentration!
Looks like it was a fun party..love that clothespin in the jug game.....blessings
