Lazy summer time

Making the bed is not my favorite thing to do. For the first 2 years of our marriage, Daniel made the bed while I made breakfast. Once Natasha arrived, we switched jobs, but I basically didn't do mine. (Sorry Daniel!)
But this summer, I've tried to do better.

You know you never sleep under the big heavy quilt when it's 80 degrees outside, but you can't quite put it in the linen closet all summer, 'cause you never know when a cool morning will come along.

So here's the lazy wife's way of making the bed in the summer: Simply tuck the sheet up under the pillows and keep the quilt neatly folded at the end of the bed.

You don't have to unfold the quilt each morning to properly make the bed, yet the bed looks neat and tidy all day long.

But...a properly made bed with the quilt unfolded and smoothed out during the day is coming soon. Fall is on it's way people! Hurray!

  1. I must admit.I love a "made bed" but,I have gotten into the awful habit of not making mine. For one thing it is quite the chore since I have disabilities now but, that isn't really a fitting excuse :) I could do so much better and must discipline myself to do so. Your bed is very pretty and your room looks so simple and clutter free...Not...something I can say of mine....there is always much work to do :)
    Blessings on your weekend dear.
