The Flower Girl

When you are a little girl, I do believe being a flower girl in a wedding is one of the highest dreamt-after occasions life can provide. My daughter is no different than many other girls with this aspiration, and she had been waiting for a very long time to be a flower girl in her Aunt's wedding. My sister did get married in January and Natasha was able to fulfill her lifelong dream.
My role in this was making her dress. I hadn't worked with sheer fabrics much before, so that was new. I altered a basic dress pattern to incorporate a sheet bodice yoke and although it took a lot of focus and extra planning, I think it turned out lovely. The bodice and skirt has two layers with a satin main layer and the sheer layer on top.
