Summer So Far

We celebrated the First Day of Summer by having ice cream and setting off a Chinese lantern. 

Summer reading programs at two libraries in our area have spurred some independent reading for Lincoln, which has been very fun to watch.

The roses have bloomed and the newest one of my collection, Lady of Shallot, is featured here. 

A new dress was needed for summer, and this one came together very easily for Natasha. Elastic thread for the bobbin creates such easy shirred details.

The raspberries are doing well and finally there are enough that we all get some rather than the children eating them all before they even get in the house.
