Summer In the USA 2019

Miren showed me how to make a typical Spanish omelette.
We had some trouble with it sticking to my pan, but I think we got the taste...similar.
Certainly not authentic though, if you ask Miren. :)

We had another fun July hosting a student from Basque Country, which is a region of Spain. Miren quickly became a big sister to Natasha and Lincoln. We did our very best to show her as much of the midwest as we could while she was here, including a few firsts for us as well. Remember the summer bucket list we made? Happily we were able to cross off some activities such as an outdoor concert in the park, a pool party, and picking cherries.

It's really strange to think Miren is back home now; the month went super fast. She is now sending us beautiful scenery pictures from Spain. All our July fun won't fit in one blog post, so there's more coming...consider this part one.
